Dogs and Coronavirus
April 02, 2020
What do I need to know about my dog and coronavirus?
We attended a breeders’ webinar a couple days ago and wanted to share some information. They recommend treating your dogs like you would any other surface. Dogs cannot get COVID-19, but they can harbor the virus on their fur after being around an infected person. Avoid dog parks and other public places. Don’t let non- household members pet your dog. Bathe your dog often if you are frequently in public. If you must visit the vet, bathe your dog afterwards wearing gloves and other protective gear you may have.
Stay safe! 😊
